@terrybigler36906 years ago what you think is meaningless it is what can be proven in court beyond a reasonable doubt..I'm suspicious that the state has just charged this man to quiet down outrage. To steal the family's car then come back and abduct a family member is a stretch, you would have to be beyond stupid. I think that the police are trying to scare this guy into some sort of plea. if I were facing a murder charge the police would have to prove it beyond any doubt, and if they couldn't prove it i would be suspicious of any other charges,as they may be trying to clear their books before year's make em have to prove every charge.I sense a smell on this of laziness,If he did commit murder he will end up in jail for life and any other sentences will be meaningless, sounds to me like the police have him scared and will try to get anything that they possibly can.He may well be the guy but he may not be and it would not be the first time the cops pulled this to look like they are doing their job.If I were this guys lawyer i would advise him to take any plea ,but a public defender works for the police and because they are paid by the state will do as little as possible to get out from under the case..I would demand a jury trial for each charge, you would have nothing to loose ... 4
