This week, executive pastry chef Paola Velez puts her own spin on the empanadilla AKA a mini-empanada—typically filled with a savory meat or cheese—by filling it with a sweet, gooey filling made with cherries. Paola tops off these already irresistible golden brown mini-empanadas with a quick and easy sugar drizzle made of powdered sugar, milk and pink food coloring for a whimsical touch.
