Meet my sister on our weekend getaway to Sydney! Welcome to another vlog! I don't know about you guys but every second person I know is in Europe. After an internal debate over whether or not I should go overseas these holidays, I decided that it would be best to stay in Australia for now. I have so much to update you on but I'm currently in the midst of finding a place to move to with housemates, extracurricular activities, uni, commitments in Melbourne etc. so pretty much I'm exhausted and I have no energy to go overseas right now. But I still wanted to enjoy the break, so my sister and I booked a weekend in Sydney! We shared lots of laughs, exchanged clothes (mainly me stealing from her) and arguments, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend it with anyone else 😁 If you're thinking of booking a trip with your sister, here's your sign to do just that!! or the opposite hehe (jks I love you tair) On the first day, we landed at Sydney airport and got an uber straight to the hairdressers, I got my hair done at QueColour. I've had this appointment for two months so I was very excited that it was finally happening! And now I have a few more blonde strands which is never a bad idea x Then we got to the hotel and checked in. It was very spacious, exactly what we needed! Afterwards, we took a nap but it turned into a good night's sleep. Our breakfast on day two was falafel, chips and coke - and we savoured every bit of it. (From the shop Chapter E) We then entered the underground shopping centre at Central and bought a few snacks as well as got our nails done! That night we got dinner at 'Veganism is Magic' in New Town and caught up with some of my sister's friends at a bar/club called The Establishment Bar. On day four we went to Glebe! That whole suburb is wholesome. Breakfast was at Oh My Days (they have the best vegan pastries) and then we walked around Glebe Markets. I bought a top and my sister bought gold hoop earrings. We also found a vegan supermarket there!! It was heaven for us. You can't do a Sydney trip without visiting Circular Quay - so of course, we had to take in the sight of Australia's most famous landmarks - The Sydney Opera House and The Harbour Bridge. We relaxed at the spa followed by dinner at Bootleg - a vegan Italian restaurant in Paddington. And day five... our last day! or at least we thought so... it was a beautiful sunny morning - a top of 20 degrees. We took advantage of the weather and headed to Darling Harbour where we saw many families going on walks too. A short walk later we found ourselves at the Chinese Garden Of Friendship - a completely peaceful garden on the outskirts of the city. We went to Zara (of course) and then met up with my friend Chels at Bondi Beach to catch up and watch the sunset. After dinner, Chels drove us to our new hotel and we spent the night there planning our departure. It was a very early morning, we woke up at around 6:00am, packed our bags and headed straight to Sydney airport, where we found ourselves waiting in lines that circled the entire terminal and even continued outside. Thankfully we made it to our flight and landed in Melbourne around an hour later. I had lots of fun trying new restaurants and bonding with my sister! love you Tair xo (can I please borrow your trench coat btw?)
