இந்தியாவுக்கு ஒரு நபர் எவ்வளவு தங்கத்தைச் எடுத்து செல்ல முடியும்! An indian who has been residing abroad for over 1 year can bring JEWELLRY free of duty upto: 20 grams, not costing more than Rs 50000/- (for male). 50 grams , not costing more than Rs 100000/- (for female). Applicable for children also. Allowance is on jewellery only, not on any other form of gold like biscuits etc. If you want to bring gold above duty free allowance, you have to pay duty of 10.3% . (if you have stayed there for more than 6 months). Max limit is 1 kg if you are an indian (on payment of duty). Gold can be of any form like jewellery or coins or biscuits. In case the passenger has not completed 6 months of stay in abroad then a duty of 36.05% on all the gold the passenger arrives with is applicable. Applicable customs duties on gold imports in such cases must be paid in foreign currency by incoming passengers.
