Brian Laundrie: K9 handler said it's 'highly suspicious' that cadaver dogs missed remains | Gabby Petito Case, please subscribe and ring the bell so you never miss a video! A K-9 handler and former police officer said on Thursday that he felt "very suspicious" that cadaver dogs didn't detect Brian Laundrie's remains in a Florida wildlife reserve earlier, NewsNation's "Dan Abrams Live" reported. Kyle Heyen, who now runs a police-dog training company, told Abrams in a live interview, "If the body was there at that time X weeks ago, and if it's the same dog and the same quality of dog or the same quality of training, they should have found him." "They would have detected Laundrie's body," Heyen added. Police found the partial remains of Laundrie, the fiancé of Gabby Petito, on Wednesday in Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, Florida, the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed on Thursday. The discovery came after Laundrie's parents directed officials to an area where "some articles belonging to Brian were found," said a statement on Wednesday by the Laundrie family's attorney Steven Bertolino, NBC reported. Bertolino also said Laundrie's father found a backpack "in an area where they had initially advised law enforcement that Brian may be." Police later also found a notebook. FBI special agent Michael McPherson told a news conference on Wednesday that the items had been found submerged under a foot of water at the time of the search, The Independent reported. But Heyen said cadaver dogs could still sniff out odors even if they're underwater. "If the body had been there when they went by with cadaver dogs, and the body had been there for more than two or three minutes, the odor would have come through the water," Heyen told Abrams. Part 1) Debunking the hike 1a) The Laundrie family can’t get their story straight One moment he says his client wanted to go “out for fresh air” and thought nothing unusual happened. Next moment, he says his client was grieving and Chris Laundrie could do nothing to stop him. Which one is it? 1b) Changed date They also reported the ORIGINAL hike to take place September 14th. They quickly change their story to September 13th weeks later. How do you forget an important date like the one where you son went missing. 3) Was Brian Laundrie even reported missing before the 17th? North Port PD said they never got the word that Brian went for a hike and didn’t return. Their lawyer says that they told FBI about it the night of or the morning after (he conveniently forgets which date). Despite so many news sources and NPPD coming on record saying they knew of Brian’s whereabouts, the Laundrie family never corrected them. The Laundrie family never pushed them either to search for their missing son during this time. 4) Water Levels First hand and second hand accounts as well as data calls into question the notion that the water levels were waist deep. First-hand accounts of people who visited the parks during this time actually shows it being “bone dry”. Second-hand accounts of the WFLA chopper shows much the same image, in particular October 7th, the day Christopher Laundrie joined the search the first time. Data shows that the area WAS NOT flood on September 13th through 15th, the time the Laundrie parents went to go search for their son. So if the water levels were low the first 4 times Christopher Laundrie went to the reserve, why didn’t he find the white bag then? Not to mention the millions of dollars of searching including K9s that took place in the dry weeks with water levels low leading up to the remains being found. What I think may have *actually* happened (SPECULATION WARNING) 5) Surveillance video There was surveillance video installed around the home. I do actually think the police may know more than they are leading on. It is confirmed by NPPD that these surveillance cameras were there before Brian went missing. With one neighbour saying as early as September 11th. 5a) Neighbour saw him run across the back the day he was reported missing on September 17th. That same day, a protester alleges they caught him on camera. 5b) Another neighbour alleges that they saw Roberta leave on her own, without Brian, to plant the mustang. Part 2) Theories I think the Laundrie family were granted immunity if they cooperated. So they were caught in a lie. They were trying to just protect their son, I get ti. The police would grant them immunity if they told them where Brian Laundrie was or they would face jail-time for obstruction of justice. So they went out there and found the remains to avoid jail time. What actually happened 1) Brian Laundrie was met with foul play, remains were planted, staged to look like a suicide. 2) Brian Laundrie cut off his arms and legs, they planted them there and he is on the run.
